Planning Tools
Some advanced planning is highly recommended
for a successful PhUn Week event!
To start planning your own PhUn Week event, take a look at a
How To Plan a PhUn Week Event presentation on the lessons learned, best practices, and some models of outreach events from PhUn Week 2007.
Use the "Save the Date"

to share with your children's science teachers,
fellow teachers, school principals,
or research colleagues and lab group.
The PhUn Week Event Planner page gives
both teacher hosts and researchers access
to an organized way to approach your instructional days
that will highlight the Physiologist's visit to the classroom.
Completing and submitting this form
to the APS Education Office
no later than the due date will allow a request
for promotional materials (limited quantities)
for the students, teachers, and presenting team.
As an outreach program, why not hype PhUn Week 2009
with your local community, school newsletters,
or university newspapers? Customize the press release templates
available on the Publicity page to highlight your own program
and target your contact persons at media outlets in you community.
Additionally, we want candid photos of your PhUn Week event
for possible publication on the web
or print media associated with the APS!
The most appealing are those with kids engaged
in an activity with physiologists,
or teachers and students captivated
in scientific wonder and excitement!
Model Release Forms (with parental signature for minors)
are necessary and are available on the Publicity page.
